Day 57 Great Smoky Mountains

We stopped in Cherokee, North Carolina.  This is on the Cherokee Indian Reservation.  We went to the Museum of the Cherokee Indian.  It is really well done and tells the story of the people.

This sculpture is of Sequoya, the Cherokee genius who invented the Cherokee alphabet.  It is carved from a redwood log.  Here we learned about the Cherokee history including the Trail of Tears.

The Great Smoky Mountains National Park

You can see the back of our trailer and Imels motorhome.  We were thankful the park wasn't full of cars so we could find a place to park to enjoy the views.
