Fairbanks

Gene and Phyllis Bartels.  They were the pastors at a church I grew up in.  Now retired and living in Fairbanks near their children.  They live at the Pioneers Home and hosted us for lunch today.  We had a nice lunch in the dining room.  Gary had been looking for reindeer sausage and low and behold, that was what was served.  Wonderful to see special people from my childhood.
This afternoon Gary and Ken went to the driving range while Garnet and I went to a quilt show.  Beautiful quilts.  We decided when you quilt in a place that is dark all winter you want to work with bright colors.
